EV Charger Integration for Fuel Cell & Battery System

AmperOne is selected to modify our DC-coupled EV charging platform for integration into a hybrid energy system combining fuel cells and battery energy storage.

The project requires substantial hardware and software modifications to transform a standard charger into a fully integrated power management component capable of operating within a complex multi-source DC architecture.

The resulting solution enables efficient EV charging while dynamically responding to  both the fuel cell system and battery storage, maximizing system efficiency and operational flexibility.

The Challenge

Traditional EV chargers are designed to operate from a stable power source. In this project, the charger needs to become part of a larger energy ecosystem where available power continuously changes based on:

  • Fuel cell operating conditions

The charger therefore has to evolve from a standalone charging device into an intelligent energy conversion and control platform.
